Launched in 2004, our graphic design studio specializes in branding, corporate identity, marketing collateral, and websites for medium-sized organizations whose mission we passionately believe in: green business, sustainability, new technology, and progressive causes. Motivated by the message, Mazzarello Media & Arts offers clients classic design and functionality that endures over time.
Our work is fueled by the world around us. From cinema to cuisine, from urban landscapes to architecture, from linguistics to lines, we find inspiration everywhere — whether traveling the world or in our own Maxwell Park backyard. Reminiscent of creative couples like Charles & Ray Eames, Christo & Jeanne-Claude, and Massimo & Lella Vignelli, we are long-time collaborators who spend hours mining creative ideas, bouncing solutions off one another, and challenging each other to push the boundaries of our imaginations.
This synergy offers what few design studios can: an in-house style understanding of large organizations and complex projects, but with the agility, transparency, and personal touch of a boutique shop. Our exceptional success is reflected in our many accolades, including the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award for three years running and the #1 rated East Bay graphic design studio on Yelp.
As creative director, I draw on over 18 years of experience to create strategic visual communications that channel our clients’ need for artistry and functionality.
After graduating from design school, I worked as a web designer at universities and an e-commerce start up. During those years, I honed my skills designing websites, print and email campaigns, and packaging design; working on advertising campaigns; directing photo shoots and videos; and developing e-commerce sites. Eager to share my skills with a broader client base, together with my wife Stephanie, we founded Mazzarello Media & Arts. Influenced by the clean lines of European design, I have a knack for storytelling, a gift of sincere listening, and a tireless focus on the user experience. Working in tandem with each client, I become a devoted guardian of the brand. My passion for strategic thinking ensures a beautiful design that seamlessly integrates an organization’s mission and vision.
My time as a design instructor at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), ensured that the next generation of designers will think strategically. I am a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). I also am a lifestyle model and actor.

As art director, I integrate an analytical approach together with an artistic flair. The result is innovative work tailored exclusively for my clients.
With a background steeped in science and sociology, I never imagined a life as an artist. But when I heard legendary self-made graphic designer David Carson speak, my world changed. I left my non-profit job to follow in his footsteps, immersing myself in everything I needed to know about programming and graphic design. My status as a “math and science geek” came in handy with design’s technical aspects; I spent long hours becoming an expert at the Adobe Creative Suite. Once I built a solid technical foundation, I drew on my inherent talent for handcrafted art, thoughtful color palettes, and innovative illustrations. Previous to Mazzarello Media & Arts, I worked for a Grammy award-winning band, designing promotional merchandise, email campaigns, websites, and online marketing materials.
My way of seeing the world directly translates into my success as an art director; I work closely with clients to understand and execute their vision, while also gently encouraging them to consider breaking beyond the bounds of fixed concepts to explore the wider range of possibilities. I have recently begun personal creative endeavors.
