Quarterly Email Update : February 2012
LOOK
We are so excited when we get to work on projects that are extensions of our personal passions.
This winter we have been working on logo, print and web work for the Project Peace Speaker Series titled The Slave Next Door and the new website and email campaign for the non-profit Zagaya.
Be sure to check out the portfolio section of our website to see additional projects.

The Slave Next Door
The Project Peace Speaker Series is proud to host Dr. Kevin Bales, one of the world's leading experts on modern-day slavery, for a night of information, inspiration, and action. It is a reminder that we all can make a difference with one of the great moral callings of our time.

LEARN
We love learning about inspiring people, thoughtful music and exciting ideas. Our fantastic friends are always sharing new stuff with us, but we also get mental stimulation from the sources below.
The Treatment
What: A radio program where Elvis Mitchell talks film and life with today's creators of culture.
Why: We love thinking about how movies are made. This show takes both a very personal and big picture look at film.

New Band of the Day
What: An ongoing list with writeups about new and inspiring bands written by Paul Lester.
Why: It is hard to find new music with all the choices today. This makes the process much more fun and easy.

COLLABORATE
We thoroughly enjoy collaborating with other creatives. It is stimulating. It is challenging. It helps us become better artists. Matter and Nate Davis are a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to future opportunities to utilize their skills.
Matter (Video Production)
While we were working on designing Matter's brand, we became very impressed with Dan Bowen's videos. He is very passionate about creating beautiful videos for weddings, non-profits and businesses. His desire to create videos that capture moments and stories that are significant to his clients is clear in all of his work. We decided to utilize his talents in creating videos telling our company's story, and we love what he has created for us.

Nate Davis (Copywriter)
Before making into advertising, Nate Davis was a painter, caterer, data enterer, waiter, secretary, trash picker-upper, remodeler, and proofreader. So being a copywriter is by far the best job he's ever had, and this perspective makes him tickled pink to use words and ideas to sell products, boost businesses, and change the world. We are excited to be working with him on several projects this spring, and hope that his spectacular vocabulary rubs off on us.

Introduction Video
February 21, 2012
Inspired by the energy and visuals from our fabulous photos by Stephan Babuljak, we wanted videos to put our story of a husband and wife team into motion. Dan Bowen at Matter listened to us and understood our need to share about our company and show how we organically work and create together.

Things We Like
Vampires & Walkers
February 19, 2012
We are not huge fans of horror movies. In fact, I still have nightmares from seeing a small part of A Nightmare on Elm Street in 6th grade. Maybe it’s the winter weather getting to us, but we have been obsessing over several monster shows including Being Human (UK), Grimm, and The Walking Dead.

Light in the Dark
February 20, 2012
For these wallpapers, we took photos of the lights we found on a tree while walking around one evening this winter in the Presidio of San Francisco National Park. We love all the different ways the same set of colorful lights can be seen. We hope they brighten your winter season as you anticipate the coming spring.
